100th Anniversary Book
The picture above is a reproduction of a tin-type taken in 1906, before Douglas Manor was actually developed. Reference to "This Salubrious Spot" is a Victorian phrase meaning a "healthful, friendly place", that the founders used to characterize "The Manor" and was quoted prominently in all prior Douglas Manor commemoratives.
